Education consultancy and Management Experience

From advising both leading independent school and struggling children's arts organisations, Alex has experience both in the UK and internationally as an Education Consultant and Creative Projects Manager. He has diverse experience working with young people of all ages and in managing programmes of work with a cross-section of different communities and cultures.
His professional background includes being a project lead and national steering-group member of ENYAN's (English National Youth Arts Network), a regional producer for the Royal National Theatre, an Associate Artist for London's Pitz Manor Gallery and a member of Northamptonshire County Council's, arts education advisory committee.
Alex is currently the Creative Director of Artist Residency Thailand and leads on the development of 'Education for Creativity' at Prem Tinsulanonda, an IB World School
Formal Education work

Alex began his career, delivering lectures and workshops to art students at Peter Symonds College in Winchester England. He went on to set up and run Arts and Drama programmes at international schools in Turkey and Thailand, teaching the IB and IGCSE curriculum.
Between the UK, Thailand and Turkey, his education work in the Visual Arts was commended by the European Council of International Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges and the International Baccalaureate Organisation. who have used his approaches to the delivery of DP Visual Arts, as an example of best practice
Alex returned to the UK in 2005 where he developed, managed and delivered hundreds of school-based Creative Projects, seminars and training sessions, both independently and as Creative Projects Manager for Royal & Derngate Northampton.
Informal Education and Creative Projects

Alex has worked for and in partnership with a wide-range of organisations, from schools, galleries and theatre education departments to pupil referral units, hospitals and regional police forces.
He has a knowledge and understanding of how the arts can be used to enhance and transform the lives of young people and communities and has delivered and managed programmes of work spanning the visual arts, drama, music, dance, spoken word and creative writing.
Programmes of creative engagement work that he developed or managed, were twice nominated for the prestigious British National Charity Award and he has since been a keynote speaker at arts education and advocacy events in the UK.
Internationally he has worked as a consultant for the development of existing Children's Arts Organisations and the creation of Artist Residency programmes.
